The panel is much bigger and it is bonded to the frame with adhesive rather than clipped in, so it takes longer to remove cleanly and the part itself costs more. A rushed iPad screen is how you end up with a lifting edge, so we would rather take the time.
Many iPad repairs are same-day. Screens are the exception — fresh adhesive needs time to cure properly, so some are ready the next day. We tell you which when we assess it, not after you have dropped it off.
